The name that you choose for a Texas Non-Profit Corporation must be distinguishable from any other registered or authorized Texas business entity or any reserved names on record. The name of the corporation must contain one of the following words as a company identifier:
“Limited Liability Company”, “LLC” or “L.L.C.”
Texas does not require a specific purpose to be listed in the Certificate of Formation.
Texas has the following membership requirements for an LLC.
Number of members required: One or more
Residence Requirements: No Requirement
Age requirements: Must be a natural person at least 18 years of age
Members are required to be listed in the Articles / Certificate of Formation.
There is a Franchise Report that must be received by the state of Texas by May 15th. The fee for this filing is: None – No fee is required.
